Pupils quiz international football manager

Head Coach of the Equatorial Guinean national team, Rodolfo Bodipo, was quizzed by Higher Spanish pupilsDuring the spring term, some High School of Dundee pupils netted themselves the opportunity to put their Spanish skills to the test...by quizzing an international football manager!

Modern Languages teacher Ana Aguero's Higher Spanish group welcomed Head Coach of the Equatorial Guinean national team, Rodolfo Bodipo, to their classroom for a Q&A session conducted in Spanish.

The pupils were only too happy to tackle the challenge, hitting the target with a series of incisive questions on Rodolfo's experiences in the world of football, both on and off the pitch.

Rodolfo, whose playing career included spells with Deportivo Alavés, Deportivo de La Coruña and Racing Santander, was in Dundee as his wife is currently working in the city.

He said, "I wanted to encourage the students to study well and to follow their dreams. It's up to them to create their own future.

"I also spoke to them about my own personal story and about the importance of adapting to, and enjoying, the culture where you are living."
