Hockey players out in force at regional event

9 pupils and 3 members of staff from the High School of Dundee represented the Midlands at the recent Interdistrict tournamentHigh School of Dundee hockey players were out in force at a recent regional competition!

A total of nine pupils from the School were selected for the various Midlands teams which took part in the Interdistrict Hockey tournament at Glasgow National Hockey Centre.

Jamie Golden played a key role in the U18 boys side, captaining the team to a third place finish. Meanwhile, in the girls events, Heidi Sampson, Holly Duval, Rachel Strachan and Shona Campbell helped the U18 side win their competition with an undefeated record and the loss of only one goal, while Isla McRobbie, Ailsa Millar, Joanna Johnston and Reave Kilcullen played their part as the U16 team secured third place.

And with members of the High School's PE teaching staff Linda Anderson, Jude McMullan and Charlotte Jones also taking on coaching roles for the Midlands, the School's overall representation at the event was an impressive 13!
