Open Morning

Our Open Morning is a great way to look around the school, chat to pupils and teachers and see all that we have to offer across our Junior and Senior Campus. There will be fun activities to take part in, performances from our musicians and many of our 80+ co-curricular clubs/activities will be there to entertain you on the day too! After your tour of the city centre campus, from 2pm, you will also be able to join us at Mayfield to tour the facilities and watch our teams in competitive action! 

So come along, bring your family and friends and feel inspired by what we can do for your child. Book your place now!

Don't worry if you can't make it along to our Saturday event as 'Every day is an Open Day' and you can book in for a tour or taster on a school day that works for you.

What happens at Open Morning?

Following a brief overview of the School, your family will be paired with one or two of our pupils who will take you on a tour of the classrooms and facilities, with the chance to experience activities, displays and exhibits along the way. There will be lots of opportunities to talk to staff and pupils and to ask them questions about life at the High School.

At the end of your tour, we invite you to enjoy refreshments and staff will also be on hand to answer any remaining questions that you may have about everything from pastoral care to our High Performance Sport Programme. 

Then, from 2pm we invite you to join us at Mayfield to have a look at our fantastic indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and watch our teams as they take part in their scheduled fixtures!

Bursary support towards places at the School may be available and early applications are always advised. Our Bursar is on hand during Open Morning to answer any queries you may have. For more information about Financial Assistance at the High School of Dundee please click here.

Please allow two to three hours for your visit to our city centre campus in the morning, and you are welcome to simply drop in at Mayfield from 2pm for a quick visit, or - as we hope you'll choose - stay for longer and enjoy the atmosphere of match day!  

Parking

There's lots of parking nearby, including Bell Street Car Park and the Overgate Car Park, both of which are just minutes from the school.

Please note that parts of the tour route are unsuitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. Those with limited mobility should contact us in advance for advice.
