Mayfield Sports CentreThe High School occupies a collection of buildings around Euclid Crescent and Bell Street, with extensive sports grounds located on Arbroath Road, just a few minutes from the main campus.

Buildings on the main campus range from the main school, which is a listed building, completed in 1834, to the new English block, which opened in 2002.  The Junior School shares the Margaret Harris building with the Music Department and Learning Skills department.

In August 2014, our brand-new, £1m Nursery opened alongside the School's outstanding sports facilities (see below) at Mayfield.

The School is committed to an ongoing programme of improvement of both accommodation and facilities.  In the last few years major refurbishment and development has taken place providing a new administrative area, three extra laboratories (Biology, Physics and Advanced Higher Physics), a drama studio, refurbished toilet accommodation for pupils, a new art room and a new heating system serving all our buildings.  All our science laboratories have been refurbished and a new medical room created. Two extensive playing fields – Dalnacraig and Mayfield – are approximately a mile and a half from the school in Arbroath Road. The £3 million Mayfield Sports Centre, opened in June 2006, comprises a large sports hall, gymnasium, dance studio, fitness centre and classroom areas.  2007 saw the creation of brand new ICT laboratories, the refurbishment and creation of a number of classrooms in Bonar and the Main Building, and upgrading of the Home Economics Department.

In the Junior School a major programme of refurbishment of classrooms was started six years ago.  Further development work in the Junior School is planned over the next few years.
