Life after the High School
A High School education is designed to equip pupils with the skills and qualifications that they need to pursue any path they choose.
95% of pupils go on to University, where degree choices most commonly include medicine and related fields, and business or law degrees. However, pupils are encouraged to develop their own strengths and interests, and in recent years have gone on to study everything from Aeronautical Engineering to Performing Arts or Sport Coaching.
The most popular destinations for our alumni include the universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews, Aberdeen and Dundee. Significant numbers will also choose to study in England, where popular choices include Oxford, Cambridge and Durham.
For those who choose to take a year out, enter further education, or commence work, the High School can offer appropriate support and advice tailored to the individual needs of the pupil.
