World Champions
Scotland has won the World Schools Debating Championships 2012 in South Africa.
High School of Dundee pupil, April Shepherd, is on the team which is coached by Neil Dewar, a former High School of Dundee pupil who won the Worlds himself a few years ago as a member of Team Scotland. The Team Manager is Irene McGrath, who is Head of Academic Administration and a Modern Languages Teacher at the High School of Dundee!
Scotland defeated Wales 8:1 in the final.
