Keen cyclists at the High School of Dundee have raised £652.23 in support of Radio Tay’s Cash for Kids.
Nine pupils, accompanied by two members of staff, participated in the recent Dundee Cyclathon, raising funds for the charity in the process.
The pupils are all members of the Interact club, the Junior arm of Rotary International, which regularly raises money for good causes.
F6 pupil Fraser Docherty, Vice-President of Interact, said: “The event was highly successful with all high school participants completing the 26 mile course - some slightly faster than others! I was particularly impressed with the overall group effort, from pupils and staff alike. On behalf of the Interact Committee I would like to thank everyone who donated or sponsored this very worthwhile cause and in particular those that participated in the event. Well done!”
Harrison Watson, Co-ordinator of the Dundee Cyclathon, was in attendance to collect the cheque from Fraser, Interact President Zara Evans and committee member Chloe Scahill.
