A new pedestrian crossing linking the High School of Dundee's sports grounds at Mayfield and Dalnacraig is now fully operational.
The crossing, put in place as part of a major project to install all-weather surfaces at Dalnacraig, will make a significant contribution to the safety of pupils crossing the busy Arbroath Road.
Although paid for by the High School, it is hoped that the crossing will also be of major benefit to local residents, and may help to lower traffic speeds.
Installation of the new pitches at Dalnacraig commenced in the summer. Once complete, they will provide a significant boost to the School's facilities for hockey and tennis.
