Drive for Dough 2011

Keen golfers have lent their support to the drive to raise Bursary funds for pupils at the High School of Dundee.

Sixty four players, with handicaps ranging from 3 to 36, played a round at Scotscraig Golf Course in Tayport, with trophies for the best team and individual performances.  One Former Pupil flew from Russia to attend the event, which is held annually to raise funds for pupil support.

The competition, which commenced with a shotgun start, was followed by a buffet supper and fund-raising auction, hosted by FP Andy Nicol. Winner of the team trophy was David Ogilvie’s team, while the prize for best individual performance went to Form 6 pupil Tom Ogilvie.

All profits from the event will go towards the High School of Dundee Foundation, which raises funds for Bursary support and development projects.  Around one in five senior pupils at the High School receive some degree of financial assistance, with more than half a million pounds of Bursary support awarded each year.
