A Dundee man is set to cycle from John O’Groats to Lands’ End in aid of Help for Heroes.
Craig Webb, Manager of the High School's Mayfield Sports Centre, will undertake the gruelling 1048-mile journey with support from his brother-in-law, Graham Hunter. Graham, a captain in the 16 Air Assault regiment based in Colchester, departs for a tour in Afghanistan in October.
The two will set off from John O’Groats this Friday, 6th August at 7am, heading south to Inverness and down the West Coast to England, aiming to reach Lands’ End ten days later on Sunday 15th August.Craig, who has been in training for the journey for the past twelve months, hopes to raise more than £1000 for the charity.
“Help for Heroes is doing an incredible job, and is well worthy of our support,” said Craig. “I hope that our journey will also help to raise awareness of the work of this amazing charity.”
Craig and Graham are also aiming to run the London Marathon next April to raise additional funds for the charity.
