Children's author Lari Don visits the High School

Lari Don meets junior pupilsJunior School pupils recently had the opportunity to quiz children's author Lari Don, when the award-winning writer spent a day in school.

The day included author sessions and story-telling, together with an opportunity for pupils to have copies of their favourite books signed.

School librarian Catherine Owens said: "'First Aid for Fairies', Lari's debut novel, has been extremely popular with our children so we were delighted that she was able to join us for a day.  Our older pupils, in particular, asked some really interesting questions, and she seemed really impressed."

Speaking after the visit, Lari said: "All the great ideas and original questions from your kids have inspired me to write even more!"

In addition to 'First Aid for Fairies and Other Fabled Beasts', which won a Royal Mail Prize for Children's Books in 2009, Lari is also the author of 'Wolf Notes' and 'Tam O'Shanter'.
