Help with Fees

As a charity, the High School of Dundee is able to provide Bursary support to around 15% of pupils in the Senior School.  A Bursary is an award designed to help with the cost of school fees, and can vary from 10%-100% of the total school fee each year, depending on your family’s financial circumstances.  Around half of all those who apply each year are granted support.

Awards are granted on the basis of academic performance as well as financial need.  They are kept entirely confidential – pupils and teaching staff will not know that your child receives a Bursary, and applicants are not required to undergo specific testing, other than the standard entrance assessment.

Please note that Bursary support is not currently available in the Junior School.

For further information on Bursaries, please see our leaflet on Scholarships and Bursaries.

For those applicants ineligible for Bursary support, it may be helpful to undertake financial planning to help meet the cost of school fees.  Further information can be found in our leaflet on Tailored Financial Planning.

A remission of a proportion of the fees will be granted to families who have four or more children attending the High School at any one time.  Where three children attend at any one time, families may apply for a discretionary remission.
